Albany is a Waste Management Company
Albany takes a progressive approach to waste management. Founded in 2001 by Rod Challis, we have since grown into one of the UK’s leading waste management companies.
It’s more than “waste collection”…
What makes us different to many of our peers is our in-house technical expertise and knowledge on a wide range of recycling treatment technologies, in particular with the safe treatment and handling of technical and hazardous waste.
We have a philosophy of ongoing investment and R&D into the best and most efficient waste management methodologies, which enables us to offer an increasingly valuable service that includes advice and guidance on the latest legislation and implementation of best practice.
…it’s “total waste management”
Our total waste management services cover bulk liquids, waste to land recovery services, WEEE directive, recycling management, industrial cleaning, confined space work as well as chemical wastes (both hazardous and non hazardous) in bulk, drum or packaged forms.
We operate a fleet of highly-equipped waste management vehicles and have access to a comprehensive nationwide infrastructure for the recycling, treatment, recovery and disposal of all waste, including facilities for materials recovery, composting and energy recovery.
We don’t see waste as an inconvenience; it’s an opportunity save money, improve efficiency and to recover new and valuable resources that benefit the long-term future of the planet. Our ethos is to turn waste into a resource by putting it in the right place, and for that reason we take a zero landfill approach to waste management, and strive to elevate all waste up the waste hierarchy.
It’s no coincidence that businesses that invest in sustainable waste management and waste reduction practices typically enjoy improved operating efficiencies and lower overheads.
